About the Artist

Hey, I´m Emmi-Riikka, a finnish artist and painter. I graduated as a bachelor of Graphic Design from Lahti University of Design in 2013, and was a graphic designer and a professional illustrator until moving into painting around 2024. In my work I often explore sunsets and sunrises, mythical creatures and mystical feminine figures. Luminous colors and the feeling of light is important to me.

Clouds, dragons and winged creatures speak to me and represent both freedom and belonging, and I enjoy exploring them in paintings. Luminous colors create the sense of wonder and amazement that is reminiscent of childlike curiosity and awe at the beautiful little things.
